Oh inspiration, where have you gone?
I spent much of last week immersed in getting ready for THE PRINT SHOW at the gallery (which I will post about tomorrow with lots of pictures of all the amazing work.) But now that my gallery duties are winding down for the month I am back focusing on my "designer's block." It seems as though I have a wee bit of time on my hands as of late—perfect time to get the letterpress really cookin' and other projects off the ground—I've just had one unfortunate hurdle—no ideas!
I have been spending some time looking at a few eye-candy books...

I love this photo of Florence Broadhurst in her wallpaper showroom.

Florence's Arabian Birds pattern.

Everything from the amazing Wunderground Providence exhibition catalog, including this screenprint by Xander Marro.

This stitched lettering and illustration by Lizzie Finn in Steven Heller's Handwritten book.
I have been sketching a bit, which I will also share with you all soon, and I feel like ideas are brewing—I'm just still seeking a bit of clarity...hopefully it's right around the corner.
In the meantime though, a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do...

I think you'll need to eat more Nuggets next week-end !
It inspires a lot.
