Rethink, rework, revise...

Well, it seems to be split about half and half—some of you liked the big green stocking letter, others didn't...and you all had lovely suggestions that gave me a few ideas, so I thank you all very much. The end result is this:

I opted for red felt lowercase letters in a different serif typeface...I think the letter is a little more subtle now. I added a white vintage button stacked on top of a red not-so-vintage button for a little accent. Buttons make everything better.

The big stockings are finished, now just three little ones left to make for "the boys." Stay tuned!

Much better! So cute.

oh, that's perfect!

I like this revamped version. And just to throw another idea at you...Each year my children get to choose a button for their stockings. I sew it on and they can see how many Chritmases they have had. Christmases...is that a word?

The lowercase and red/pink letters really work--really charming! Any advice on adhering the felt to the fabric--glue, interfacing of some sort? Thanks!

These would have been great on our holiday scramble ccontest at kstyle and holly's plate. Very cute. k

Pretty fabric pattern! Lovely. I saw you at Flickr.

That fabric is fantastic!

merry christmas!
