Goodies

Ms. Caitlin Keegan arrived today, all the way from Brooklyn! So far she has not seen too many Southern things...just a few rolling hills of Tennessee and many many SUV's and pick up trucks, but we're going to try to remedy that tomorrow. She did come bearing gifts:

This is one of the pieces Caitlin did for the Postcards from Poketo show at the Receiver Gallery last December. I was totally in love with all her pieces from that show and I'm so excited to have one. Thanks Caitlin!

I also received a few other exciting things in the mail today:

I found these great Greek coasters on ebay. I love the pattern and the colors...almost too pretty to put a drink on.

Lastly...

Keds_1
...but certainly not least, my Eleanor Grosch Keds arrived today! They are so super cute. I almost want to hang them up rather than wear them because the insides are so fantastic. Ms. Keegan ordered a pair too.

hey thanks for the shout-out, and for the tip on the keds. can't wait to get mine!

I am just going to go ahead + be a total dork + introduce myself. My boyfriend actually found your blog + insisted I read it (he's always looking out for me). The reason we were so interested is because I am a letterpress printer + book binder in Murfreesboro with pretty much the same links, similar aesthetic right down to my absolute love for Sadie Wang (I have yet to buy one of her rings that I lust after). You mentioned the TACA spring fair, where I've had a group booth with the Tennessee Book Arts Guild for the last 3 years, but I don't know if I got to chat with you there, so many people.
Anyway, at the risk of sounding like a crazy person, I though I would say Hi! from the other side of Hwy 96.
Now I have to link you so I can read the rest of your blog.
